I spend most of my time chasing down words that feel human and make sense.

Currently, I’m based on Boston’s North Shore, but I lived for a couple years in the California desert while earning my M.F.A. in creative writing from UC Riverside. Still working on that novel.

I’ve had rewarding stints as a copywriter, editor, podcaster, teacher, and researcher. My literary essays and interviews have been published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Zyzzyva, and The Millions, and they’ve covered subjects ranging from elephant conservation to Ukrainian-American politics.

Above all, I’m just a curious person.
